Three important parameters of high power tractor
Engine power
The first is rated power, also known as rated power, which is an important indicator. It not only reflects the size of the tractor, but also determines the amount of state subsidy (if it is in the subsidy catalogue). The actual power of tractors from different manufacturers with the same rated power will not be exactly the same, because the engine power varies within a certain range. The rated power "calibrated" by the manufacturer may be close to the maximum power, or much smaller than the maximum power. If you can also know the maximum power from the manufacturer or dealer, it will help to judge which tractor has more actual power or reserve power.
Transmission type
The technical level of tractor mainly depends on the gearbox. At present, power shift is fashionable, and many tractors are called power shift tractors. In fact, there is a big gap between tractors with high and low power shift and tractors with semi power shift (also known as regional or regional power shift). Although it has a great progress compared with the pure mechanical transmission, the gap between the semi power shift and the full power shift is far greater than that between the semi power shift and the full power shift. The technical level of the gearbox, from low to high, is in the order of pure mechanical, high and low power shift, semi power shift, full power shift and continuously variable transmission. The higher the technical level of the gearbox, the better the economy of the tractor. This is also the fundamental reason for the higher price of the gearbox with higher technical level. However, it should be noted that when shifting gears, gearboxes with high technology may feel relatively slow and "fleshy", which is normal.
wheelbase
Wheelbase is the horizontal distance between the center lines of the front and rear wheel shafts (see E in the diagram). As long as you ask the manufacturer or dealer, you can get the accurate value, or you can use a tape measure with a length of more than 3 meters to measure by yourself. Wheelbase is an advantage for some tractors and a disadvantage for others. The advantages of large wheelbase are that the tractor frame is large, the structure weight is heavy, the longitudinal stability is good, and the counterweight can be added less during heavy load operation. The problem caused by the large wheelbase is that the weight of the tractor can not be reduced, the fuel consumption is large, the turning radius is too large, and the tractor is not flexible. Small wheelbase and high-power tractors are generally not suitable for heavy-duty operation of pure traction, such as matching with traction subsoiler and traction harrow; However, large wheelbase and small power tractors are difficult to become "universal tractors" to adapt to various light and heavy load operations.
